CREIGIAU TOURS AND SKI
JULIE WOOD & WAYNE SMITH. THE NAMES YOU CAN TRUST
SKI TOURS
On our winter sports programme, we work with suppliers in the beautiful lakeside town of Zell am See, Austria. Sensational views, glacier skiing and a buzzing resort atmosphere make Zell am See a year-round favourite. Thanks to its classic 19th-century architecture, scenic lake and mountain backdrop there’s always a photo opportunity nearby.
We have been working here for over 35 years and have an excellent working relationship with all our suppliers, we are well-known, trusted and respected in the area.
Members of staff from Creigiau Tours and Ski are in the resort for the duration of the ski trip and are available 24/7 and give a hands-on personal service that is second to none, we're told this is one of the reasons why our groups return to us year after year
Hotels:
We use 4 hotels in the area all minimum 3* standard, each of the hotels has been visited and stayed in by us to ensure they are up to our required standard.
Hotels comply with local health and safety requirements.
Hotels are experienced with dealing with school groups and adaptable at catering for the food challenges this can bring.
Rooming lists are discussed with the Teacher in charge before departure to ensure pupils are roomed with their friendship group.
A fire drill is offered to the group on arrival to familiarise themselves with an emergency.
Ski School:
We successfully work with Outdo Ski School, www.outdo.at who provide quality instruction with certified instructors.
All of Outdo's ski instructors are trained in first aid
All of Outdo's ski instructors speak English and are experienced in working with school groups.
All of Outdo's ski instructors have knowledge of the local mountains.
Ski hire:
We have a great working relationship with Manfred and his experienced team at Brundl Sports AreitXpress Talstation, www.bruendl.at they provide us with the best ski equipment and first-class service.
Skis and poles are stored each day at the ski depot.
There are several stations on the mountain where the equipment can be taken if any adjustments are needed.
Ski lift:
Schmittenhohebahn AG, www.schmitten.at is the lift that takes our groups up to the beautiful pistes.
Not too long ago a new Areitbahn lift in Schüttdorf was opened. It is a state-of-the-art gondola and carries 10 passengers per cabin, with the luxury of heated seats and free WiFi, which will whisk you up the Schmittenhöhe, where you’ll find wide, scenic pistes, a variety of different skiing and plenty of mountain huts.
Alongside the Schmittenhöhe, the Ski ALPIN CARD is valid at Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and at the Kitzsteinhorn and Maiskogel in Kaprun as well as the Hinterreit lifts in Maria Alm and Naglköpfl in Walchen.
Thanks to friendly slopes, a traffic-free centre and plenty of non-ski activities, Zell am See is a great choice for families and intermediate skiers. The car-free town centre has a wintry picture-postcard feel about it, with quaint cafés and a collection of traditional restaurants.
