Sample itinerary for Bruges Christmas Market.

 

One of Belgium’s if not Europe’s most beautiful cities, Bruges is a must see and often referred to as “The Venice of the North” due to its canal system. Bruges is a well preserved city where the entire historic centre has been recognised as a UNESCO world heritage site. The attractions of this magical place include a wide range of museums, churches, historical building and cobbled streets that can be explored by foot or horse drawn carriage.

The Christmas Market is held in the main market square of Bruges where the ice rink is surrounded by little wooden shops selling a variety of local specialities, Christmas decorations etc.

 

Day 1

Depart South Wales for Dover to connect with ferry to Calais. Arrive mid afternoon at your hotel in Bruges.

 

Day 2

Full day in Bruges, visit the local market in the T’Zand square and stroll down to the Market Square to visit the fascinating Christmas Market.

 

Day 3

Depart Bruges after a leisurely breakfast, journey to Calais for a visit to City Europe for last minute Christmas shopping before catching a mid afternoon return ferry to Dover.
