BARCELONA - SCHOOL TOUR

Sample itinerary for a School tour to Costa Brava. 

Day 1

Journey to Dover for a ferry crossing to France, journey continues overnight to your resort of Lloret de Mar.

Day 2

Arrive at hotel early afternoon, unpack and settle into rooms before evening meal. Take a walk along the wide promenade lined with palm trees. The beach is overlooked by an 11th century castle on the rocky headland.

Day 3

Depart after breakfast for a full day excursion to Barcelona, capital of Catalonia. Enjoy unique modernist works of architecture including Gaudi's outstanding Sagrada Familia Cathedral. visit the Gothic quarter, an attractive part of the old city of Barcelona. Return to hotel for an evening meal.

Day 4

Depart after breakfast for a journey to Girona, chief town of the province. The city is an historic walled town described as the Venice of Spain that dates back to the 11th century. Visit the Gothic Cathedral, the Arab Baths and stroll through the many interesting streets. Journey on to Figueras a typical Catalan town, birth place and final resting place of Salvador Dali.

Day 5

Morning at leisure in resort, depart midday for journey to Barcelona. Walk along the Las Rambles and enjoy the local market. Visit to the famous Nou Camp Stadium. Evening tour of Barcelona, view the city from Mantja a hill giving excellent views of the city and enjoy the illuminated fountain show which starts at 21:00.

Day 6

After breakfast vacate hotel rooms depart resort late morning for a journey to Cadaques, a lovely fishing village and a haven for artists. Spend a couple of hours there before starting return journey back home.

Day 7

Connect with an early morning ferry crossing to Dover, arrive back in school early afternoon
